We have moved to Seattle WA. The weather has been nice and warm which helps us to move a lot easier. Our apartment is nice, but is really weird living on the 6th floor, and having to take a elevator to our apartment. Olivia is making the adjustment of not being able to ride the 4 wheeler and jump on the trampoline everyday. A park is about a 10min jog from here which is nice for me to workout. Their is also a Fitness Center that is brand new on the bottom floor. So I should be able to keep working out. Garin and I are trying to get ready for a half marathon run. I signed Olivia up for a Gymnastics class, which she should really like. I hope. Garin is really liking his school and enjoying getting to know his classmates. Our branch is full of retired people and newly married. It's funny to take a jog and see all these older people on scooters. They are really nice though, and I don't think they are going to rob me.

Fun in AK the Summer of 2009
We had a lot of fun this summer and it is hard to sum it all up. I'm still missing pictures on the lake; water skiing, jet skiing, and wake boarding. Sorry I worry about dropping the camera in the water. We will really miss AK and all the family. Here is a sideshow of all the fun we have had.

Washington DC
http://
This June me and mom and Olivia got a chance to take one last mother, daughter trip and go see my cousin Jenna's wedding in DC. We had a blast and we stayed with my brother Jeremy and Jess which was really nice. They both work in DC so we could go see the sites and catch a ride back with them. The wedding was really nice. Jenna and her new husband are really cute together. I'm so glad we were able to make it. Olivia had a great time at seeing the animals in the museums and she loved the Zoo. I know a lot of people don't agree with the leash on a child but, let me tell you she is a fast runner. It was the only way we could keep track of her. With enough suckers on hand she had a sugar high and was ready to go. We will definately have to go back and take Garin. There is so much to see we still missed a couple places in the week we were there. Olivia had a great time playing with her uncle Jer and aunt Jess, they helped us out a lot; and mom she really really helped me and Olivia to make the journey to DC from AK.

This Memorial weekend the Price clan took a trip to Anchorage and Homer, AK. The Fuhriman side, went to the anchorage zoo and spent a extra day in Anchorage. We met everyone else in Homer the next day. We had a fun day at the beach with Wes, Casy, and Morgan. They caught some halibut and we went clamming the next day. It was defiantly a memorable trip. On the first day of fishing, half the family got seasick, but the rest caught their limit in Halibut. Then we went clamming with the a thousand other people on the beach and we only caught one clam. Olivia could careless, she loved playing in the sand and running through the water. As the tide came in Garin and I were stuck on a Island. The water came in fast and we were digging for clams we didn't notice it. We had to wade across. The same day we went fishing again for halibut. If you have ever been on the ocean, you know there are many different currents in deeper areas. Well the deeper areas is were the Halibut is. So we put down the anchor, when all of the sudden the boat was being pulled on it's own from the anchor in a really strong current; trying to pull the boat under. Thank goodness Wes had his knife and cut loose the anchor. It was really scary. It was really weird because the water was really calm and the sun was out, it was beautiful, but down below the current was going crazy. So it was a very memorable trip.

Venice, Italy (last day)
http://
This was our last day in Venice, on our way home. We went to all the museums we could. We took some pictures of the Dodges Palace of the outside, but we were not aloud to take any of the inside. To bad. It was really cool to see the history of Venice, and to see the same buildings in the 500 year old paintings still standing today. We took a tour through the old prison. It was really creepy to walk around inside the dungeon and to see the graffiti from the prisoners hundreds of years ago. Yea, justice was completely controlled by the catholic church back then.
We had a very romantic candle light dinner out on the street next to the water. There was local pianist, violinist, and singers throughout all the streets at night. I have to say though the food was not what you would think taste like. Lets just say you payed for the atmosphere.

Fun on the curise. It was so nice to always have a inexpensive place to stay and eat and eat and eat. The pool had a ice cream machine next to it which was really hard to resist. We had a great time.

Ephesus, Turkey
http://
Ephesus was amazing historical site. It was ancient roman city. This is were Apostle Paul taught. Cool huh; and it's in Turkey. Who knew. I have to say Turkey it self was not the greatest. The people are rude and pushy. Everywhere, they were in your face trying to get you to buy something. The City Ephesus was built all out of marble, because it was the most inexpensive. They had a heating system, plumbing, and theatre. It was very cool.

Santorini Greece
http://
Santorini, Greece was our favorite place. It was serene. It was beautiful. I would love to go back. It would be a great place for a honeymoon...or anniversary. Hopefully we can go back someday. I loved the blue doors and roofs and the white washed walls. Above all the feeling of the place was timeless. The locals were still using donkeys to go up the cliff. It was crazy to see houses built into the side of the cliff. Actually they were caves stacked on top of each other. Really nice caves. The people were very friendly.

Dubrovnik, Croatia
http://
This is Dubrovnik Croatia. The entire old town was surrounded by 50 ft city walls. It had a draw bridge into the city and surrounded by a moat. The city streets were paved with marble. Walking into the city was like stepping back into medieval times. The beach was beautiful, but the Adriatic sea was freezing! Walking off the cruise ship into Croatia was an interesting experience. The dock was guarded by men with machine guns. Croatia was part of the Soviet union with Russia up until the 90's; they claimed their Independence. It was a little scary going through security. Hoping they let you get back on the ship.

Venice, Italy
We thought we would finally post our trip to the Mediterranean. It was so beautiful and very romantic. Defiantly a trip to remember. This is our first day in Venice after our flight over the top of the world. It took 14 hours to get there from AK. Note to self do not fly Lufthansa airlines; and never go to the Frankfurt Germany airport, unless you know where you are going and don't have to carry bags. Our plane was late so we had to run to the connecting flight in Germany, only to find out when we got there that we were not checked on to the connecting flight. Let me tell you german people in the airport, not so nice. Anyway it was a really long journey, so by the time we got to Venice we look pretty haggard.

Cinderella and the Prince
So we have a STAR in our family known as prince charming. Garin had his debut as the Prince in a play called Cinderella and the Prince. It was a funny and entertaining show. It seems he has a new talent of acting and dancing at the same time. Ohh and did I forget wooing the women and especially Cinderella. Everyone in my family had a hard time watching Garin flirt with another girl. It was kinda weird. Its okay though I'm a good kisser. hahha. Garin was like a celebrity, signing autographs. It was really cute. Anyway he did great and the show will have a DVD in about a month. So we will try and get a copy.
Ice Carving
This last week we had the opportunity to go see the Ice Carving Competition. Fairbanks gets people from all over the world to come and show their skills at ice carving. It's really cool, and fun for the kids. They have a little ice park for kids to go on slides and crawl through ice tunnels. Olivia loved it. She really liked the slides. Even though it was really cold she wanted to ride the slides over and over again. Even grandpa took a turn. Next time I will try and get a video posted.

A question for all you mothers out there
So I don't know if anyone did bottle feeding, but I can't seem to get Olivia off the bottle and to the sippy cup. She will drink other liquids in the sippy cup but not milk. And if she does it is only a ounce or two. I know they say if you wait to long they become more and more attached to it. We have finally got her out of the routine of having a bottle before bed. She now has a bath reads some books and then goes to bed. But a hour or two after she eats we give her a bottle, b/c she won't drink it for meals so it's the only time she will get any milk. If anyone has any advice please let me know. I have tried the changing the first bottle to a sippy cup, but she ends up not drinking any milk until I give her the botttle. I also tried putting water in the bottle, she drinks the water and never drinks the milk. It's so funny how motherhood is, once you get one thing down you have to move on to the next.

So we are starting a new year full of new goals and new adventures, and of course trials. Garin has started a new job at the hospital and seems to really like it. He is also starting to rehearsal for a play in Cinderella. Can you believe it. Garin is going to be the Prince for the Cinderella Play in town. I asked the director if he could wear tights, b/c he swears he won't have to. It is actually a rewritten play in which the Prince is the main character. So Garin is the lead role. Crazy huh. I can't wait for opening night.
I am been busy with Olivia and her eagerness to climb everything in sight. She is full of energy none stop; and for some reason she is waking up earlier and only taking one nap instead of two. She is so cute, I love how she says momma when she wakes up from her nap, or daddy on the telephone talking to Garin. She loves to read books, play beeka boo, and run on the treadmill. I know it is funny and weird but she just loves the treadmill. I think it is because I run on it or that she can go fast. In the mornings we watch the Dog Whisper; she loves dogs, and my parents Chesapeake Retriever. He is really good with her and cleans up well after her too.
Well I will try and keep this blog updated but I am new and it takes some getting used to. Take Care.
